The first stop is the Independence Monument, an important symbol of Cambodia’s national pride. Built in 1985, the monument honors the country’s independence and commemorates those who sacrificed their lives during past conflicts. Designed in traditional Khmer style with a lotus-shaped stupa, it stands peacefully in a small park along Ekareach Street. Nearby, a shrine used during religious festivals adds spiritual significance to the site, making it both a historical and cultural landmark worth exploring.
