Spending half a day kayaking at Mechrey Floating Village is a unique way to experience a different side of Cambodia. The trip begins with a hotel pickup in Siem Reap and a short drive to the lakeside. From there, a small motorboat takes visitors through quiet waterways toward the kayaking area. As the engine slows down and the paddling begins, the atmosphere becomes calm and peaceful. Kayaking allows you to move gently through the narrow canals, passing floating houses, wooden boats, and friendly villagers going about their daily routines.

One of the most interesting parts of the experience is seeing how people live on the lake. Homes, schools, small shops, and even places of worship float on the water or stand on tall stilts.
