TOUR SUMMARY
Cambodia Elephant Sanctuary
Choose a morning or afternoon tour with departure from downtown Siem Reap, followed by a scenic drive to the Kulen Elephant Forest. Enjoy an introduction by an expert guide, prepare healthy snacks, feed the elephants, and observe their daily lives during a gentle forest walk, enrichment activities, and pond time, with a traditional Khmer meal included for morning tour guests.
ITENERARY
The tour begins with a choice of departure time at 8:00 a.m. for the morning tour or 12:00 p.m. for the afternoon tour. We depart from our office in downtown Siem Reap, where a comfortable shuttle will take you on a scenic one-hour drive to the Kulen Elephant Forest.
Upon arrival at the elephant camp, you will be warmly welcomed by our expert guide, who will provide an introductory briefing about the elephants and the conservation work at the forest. You will then take part in making healthy snacks for the elephants before enjoying a memorable meet-and-greet experience, feeding them by hand.
Next, you will have the opportunity to observe the elephants’ daily lives in their natural surroundings. Enjoy a gentle 2-kilometer observation trek as you walk alongside them through the forest, watching how they freely choose to spend their time. You will also help create enrichment activities and watch the elephants relax and play by the pond.
The experience concludes with a return to base camp, where guests on the morning tour can enjoy a traditional Khmer meal before heading back to Siem Reap.
