Day 1 – Into the Mekong Countryside

The journey begins in Phnom Penh, where the group meets before heading north into Cambodia’s peaceful countryside. As the city fades behind, rice fields and small wooden houses begin to appear. After arriving near Chhlong, the first gentle bike ride sets the tone for the adventure. Cycling along quiet backroads, past waving children and grazing cattle, offers a beautiful introduction to rural Cambodia. In the evening, everyone gathers for a welcome dinner, sharing excitement for the days ahead.

Day 2 – Cycling to Kratie & Island Life

Today’s ride follows the Mekong River toward Kratie. The scenery is calm and refreshing, with river views and traditional fishing villages along the way. A ferry crossing leads to Koh Trong, a peaceful island where life moves slowly. Cycling around the island reveals fruit orchards, stilt houses, and friendly locals. Lunch with a local family adds warmth and authenticity to the experience. The afternoon is free to relax and enjoy the tranquil riverside atmosphere.

Day 3 – Kayaking with Irrawaddy Dolphins

The adventure shifts from land to water. Near Kratie, kayaks glide gently across the Mekong in search of the rare Irrawaddy dolphins. Paddling quietly increases the chance of spotting these endangered creatures as they surface briefly before disappearing again. The experience feels peaceful and special. Day 4 – Exploring the Flooded Forest

Day 6 – Banteay Srei & Ride Toward Siem Reap

The day begins with a visit to Banteay Srei, famous for its delicate pink sandstone carvings. Often called the “Citadel of Women,” its intricate details make it one of Cambodia’s most beautiful temples. After exploring, the group cycles through scenic village roads toward Siem Reap. The landscape gradually hints at the grandeur of Angkor nearby. In the evening, dinner under the stars in Siem Reap feels like a celebration as the journey approaches its grand finale.

Day 7 – Kulen Mountain Hike & Cultural Experiences

Today’s focus shifts to Phnom Kulen, a sacred mountain plateau considered the birthplace of the Khmer Empire. A hike along forest trails leads to waterfalls and ancient carvings in the riverbed. The cool water offers a refreshing break. Cultural experiences add meaning to the day, including learning to make traditional Khmer noodles and receiving a simple water blessing from monks. The evening farewell dinner brings the group together to share memories from the week.

Day 8 – Sunrise at Angkor Wat & Temple Exploration

The final day begins before dawn with a ride to Angkor Wat. Watching the sunrise behind the temple’s iconic towers is unforgettable. After breakfast, cycling through Angkor Archaeological Park provides a unique and active way to explore. The group visits Ta Prohm, where tree roots embrace ancient stone walls, and other highlights such as the Elephant Terrace. Exploring by bike allows access to quieter paths and hidden corners, ending the journey with a deep appreciation for Cambodia’s rich heritage.
