Day 1 – Arrival in Siem Reap: Gateway to the Ancient Kingdom

Your journey begins in Siem Reap, the charming town that serves as the gateway to the legendary Angkor temples. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into your hotel and enjoy your first impressions of Cambodia’s warm hospitality.

In the evening, explore the lively Old Market area or stroll along the riverside promenade. Siem Reap blends traditional Khmer culture with modern comforts, creating the perfect introduction to Cambodia. This relaxing first day prepares you for the exciting adventure ahead.

Day 2 – Cycling the Wonders of Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom

Today is an unforgettable adventure through the heart of the Angkor Archaeological Park. You’ll cycle along scenic jungle paths and quiet temple roads, making your exploration both active and immersive.

Marvel at the grandeur of Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument and Cambodia’s national symbol. Continue to Angkor Thom, the ancient royal city, where the mysterious smiling faces of Bayon Temple watch over visitors. At Ta Prohm, nature and architecture intertwine as giant tree roots embrace the temple ruins.

Cycling allows you to experience the temples at a relaxed pace, away from heavy traffic, while enjoying fresh air and stunning landscapes.

Day 3 – Sacred Art & Kayaking on Tonle Sap Lake

The morning begins with a visit to Banteay Srei, known as the “Citadel of Women.” Built from pink sandstone, this temple is famous for its incredibly detailed carvings and delicate artistry.

In the afternoon, shift from ancient temples to vibrant local life with a kayaking experience on Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Paddle through peaceful waterways and witness floating villages where homes, schools, and shops rise on tall stilts. A visit to Kampong Khleang offers insight into traditional fishing communities and their unique way of life.

This day perfectly balances culture, nature, and authentic local experiences.

Day 4 – Journey to Phnom Penh via Sambor Prei Kuk

Today you travel overland toward Cambodia’s capital, stopping at Sambor Prei Kuk, one of the country’s most important pre-Angkorian temple complexes. Surrounded by forest, these ancient brick temples date back to the 7th century and offer a glimpse into the early Khmer civilization.

After exploring this UNESCO-listed site, continue your journey through scenic countryside landscapes until arriving in Phnom Penh, a dynamic city located at the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers.

Day 5 – Cyclo Tour & History in Phnom Penh

Discover Cambodia’s capital in a traditional cyclo (bicycle taxi), offering a relaxed and authentic way to explore the city’s vibrant streets.

Visit the magnificent Royal Palace, Phnom Penh and the nearby Silver Pagoda, home to priceless national treasures. At the National Museum of Cambodia, admire an exceptional collection of Khmer art and sculptures.

You will also gain a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s recent history through visits to significant memorial sites, providing meaningful reflection on the country’s resilience and strength.

Day 6 – Departure or Continued Adventure

Your Active Cambodia journey concludes today. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for departure or continue your travels through Southeast Asia.
