ITENERARY

Day 01: Siem Reap – Beng Mealea – Koh Ker – Saem

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap at around 7:00 AM for a full-day journey to explore remote temples in the Cambodian countryside. The first stop is Beng Mealea, an ancient temple built during the reign of Suryavarman II. Surrounded by dense jungle, the temple is mostly in ruins with large stones scattered across the site and trees growing through its walls, creating a mysterious atmosphere.

After exploring Beng Mealea, continue to Koh Ker, which served as the capital of the Khmer Empire during the reign of Jayavarman IV. Here you will visit the impressive pyramid-style temple of Prasat Thom and explore other ancient ruins hidden in the forest. Enjoy a simple picnic lunch near the temple area (own expense). In the late afternoon, drive to Saem District in Preah Vihear Province, check in at your hotel, and stay overnight.

Day 02: Preah Vihear Temple – Return to Siem Reap

After breakfast, visit the remarkable Preah Vihear Temple, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, this impressive temple complex stretches along a mountain ridge at about 625 meters above sea level.

While exploring the temple, you can walk through a series of sanctuaries connected by long galleries and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Cambodian plains below. After the visit, drive back to Siem Reap, marking the end of your two-day cultural and historical adventure.
